Oval Bowl

This bowl was turned from green wood. I had intended to rough turn it and bag in shavings to let it dry out then re-turn it, but I got carried away with my bowl gouge and got it too thin. It went from 7 1/4” round to 7” wide x 7 5/8” long! I would have tossed into the fire-pit, but I like the coloration of the grain. Not sure what the wood is (could be maple) ... finish is Mahoney’s Walnut Oil and Carnauba wax.

Nice bowl. Good choice in saving this one with its unique color and grain.
