This is a lamp I built inspired by a lamp designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was used in his home Taliesin as well as many other residences he designed. My version is made of walnut with a natural danish oil finish and the shade is made of rice paper applied to a styrene lamp shade material. Most joints in the lamp are splined miter joints.
To learn more about how the lamp was constructed and sources of materials, please visit http://modernhomage.blogspot.com/. There you will find a blog about the lamp assembly and a resources page for the source of plans and materials used to build the lamp.

That is quite lovely. How did you get the rice paper to hold its shape in the corners? I have never worked with it.

Well done! How is the shade attached to the socket?

Beautiful work Randy. I just visited your site. You have a nice setup. I had my speakers on and my wife thought we had birds in the house (at 11:15pm!). Thanks for the laugh.
