Breaking All The Rules

A fun puzzle box to build. Made from Purpleheart, Curly Maple, Ebony, and a few others that I can’t recall at the moment. A fun experiment in using a glued up top for a lid. YOur courage is tested as the only way to solve this puzzle is to remove and break the stick seen on top inot four equal sized pieces (marked out) and figure out how to insert them all at the same time in order to release the lid.

You definitely need to be very dexterous to solve this one.

After is is opened, How do you get the stick back? That might be the biggest puzzle of all ;-) Nice puzzle box.

I love it. I sure would like to see a blog on how you built it. Crazy cool.

I was looking at your website shop for puzzle plans. They look interesting but not much detail is there on the individual puzzles and I didn’t see where any of them have been reviewed. Do you have any feedback from buyers?

Yes TopamaxSurvivor, the stick, ...I supplied an extra 10 sticks with the puzzle box, which gives lots of opportunity to play and share.

woodbutcher7 – I plan to blog a puzzle making process in the near future, stay tuned.

John, My website is still pretty new and haven’t had enough sales yet I figure for the small percentage of folks that go back and leave comments I reckon. I put the info to the site together rather quickly and need to go back a do a better write up I think. Some of the designs on my site can be seen demonstrated on You Tube.

That is a great conversation piece and I’ll bet you really enjoyed making it.

Thanks Charles, I tell ya, there is great satisfaction in making something from a thought and bring it into reality.
