What a beautiful box. I haven’t even heard of Wormy, spalted sweet gum. I bet woodmaster will love it! I can’t wait to see all the box swap boxes!

That is some crazy grain, DaddyZ! Hope you show a pic of the inside and the contents. (Saw them on the swap thread but couldn’t figure it all out!).

I like it!! The goodies were an awl, brass mallet, marking knife, and a scraper with homemade burnisher.

Wood is spectacular and the box is neat idea and well built. Wish it was coming here.

Well, there’s the first of many to make my box look bad. I really tried but nothing I did came together the way I wanted. I hope I get one soon, this was fun but I forgot that my box was going to another LJ who would know what he is looking at and see all the faults and mistakes. I put in lots of time but sometimes the projects I do don’t look anything like I expected. And sometimes I cut the end of a finger…..such is life. Sometime a few are better but most are disappointing to me.

I’ll do better next time
