Turned a Bell out of Holly (ringer) and Brazilian Cherry (handle). Added a small decorative band using the Sorby spiralling tool (390A). As wood does not resonate well for a bell I stole…er…borrowed one of those little jingle bells from one of the cat’s toy for the clapper. Finish is friction polish for the ringer, and EEE wax for the handle.
This bell was made for the local woodturning club’s monthly challenge project. No prizes just a challenge each month to make something different. Great fun in my opinion, and makes us do something out of the box so to speak.
