Came across some pallets this week. One had boards wide enough to do wine balancers out of, turns out, maple! Score for me as that’s the first time I’m picked up a pallet with maple in it. I get mostly oak, pine and poplar.
Friday, picked up a few more pallets that had some interesting wood. Not wide enough as the were, so cut them up for lamination. Showed them to my cabinet making neighbor to see if I was loosing my mind or if I had in fact gotten some cherry wood. He said it looked like it. So the laminated ones are white oak, unknown, cherry, and maybe some walnut.
Good week for pallet hunting! first pic is before danish oil, second is after, third has the maple ones with and without danish oil, some were done in light walnut danish oil because my wife said so.
Thanks for looking,
