I like a clean shop. And I like a clean garage. Since they share the same proximity, I was going nuts with all my kids’ bikes and scooters parked every which way and falling over all the time. I came up with this quick little project to help get some order to the madness!

- 2×4 construction lumber
- about 6’ long – a stretcher at each end
- 3/4” dowels
- dowels spaced 1 1/2” on centers
- dowels cut to length specific to each bike (depending on size of tire/length of front fork) to maximize stability but also letting them just roll the front wheel between them
- added benefit is that the Razor scooters can just sit on the 2×4 lumber and stand up

This will be made to fit as the bikes change and once my youngest gets to riding – although I may have to add some length when that happens. I love it. Works great and kids learned pretty quick how to get them in there. They don’t even have to put down a kickstand.

Very nice idea. Now if you can figure out a way to incorporate Nerf gun storage along with it, then that would keep my garage/shop completely organized.

I am totally going to steal this! Tired of tripping over bikes and scooters in the shed. Thank you for sharing!

You’re welcome! I love it and the kids didn’t complain too much.
