I decided that I needed a project that gave me an excuse to use my new router, and this is what I decided to build, I am very happy how it turned out and I learned some valuable lessons along the way.

I also had to have a side project in building a dado jig because that is the joint I used in putting all the pieces together.

I am proud to say that there is only 4 screws in this whole piece.

I built it using 8×1 sanded pine wood and glue I also purchased feet for the finished product but I didn’t like them so I routered my own using the same bit.

I hope you like it and it looks awesome in my kitchen because the stain I used is the same as my kitchen cabinets.

PS: This unit holds (4 iPhones and 1 Ipad)

Just to update this project I made a much better version of this charging unit a link is below

It’s better because I built a integrated powerstrip compartment for a more functional charging station

Good job Ed, nice to see that others are contemplating an organized charging station. I’m currently working on a similar project using figured maple with Koa and/or Bubinga accents. The wife found the idea on Pintrest, and the poster used a Leviton 4-port USB charger that fits into a standard duplex electrical outlet and is wired direct. She (the poster) found it at Home Dump. Looks like it would clean up the individual chargers if you didn’t have a 4 outlet unit like you seem to have.
