My second GOOD LOOKING mallet

If you saw my first mallet the larger on in the first pic, lots of people commented it was a little big… So I built a smaller one. My ulterior motive is to have carving mallets and I am not such a fan of the round or metal ones.. as metal striking the back of my Pfeil or Sorby wood handled chisels and gouges is not happening in my shop. So the first one was inspired by Ron Hendrickson and the beautiful mallet he made. I wanted a few good looking tools.. so here we are. The new one is Cherry and Purple heart, with oak dowels like its bigger counterpart.

Don’t know about he size but looks incredible and love the purpleheart.
