Made this case for a family friend for his dirk( a dagger used by Scotsman back in the day). The wood is all red oak with a mahogany stain. I routered a roman ogee to the lid, which came out ok I think. The inside is just styrofoam and material I got from Walmart and fit it to the dirk. I finished it with 2 coats of polygloss which I really like the smoothness and shine of. Any tips or comments are always welcome!

Very very nice.
The grains pattern on the lid…….is it one board piece?
