Stove top thingy.

My sister-in-law wanted me to make her this to go on top of her stove. She saw a picture of one in a magazine and ask if I could make her one. I added the picture that she gave me so you can see. Not real sure the purpose, but hey, she likes it and that what matters. Made of some scrap oak I had left over in my shop. Mostly white oak but I did have to use a little red oak for one side.

Cool project!
These are sometimes called Noodleboards – don’t know why…
They serve 2 purposes: store stuff (or just decorations) on top of the stove, then just pick up and move the whole thing when you use the stove. Or, used as extra countertop/serving space in small areas.
Yours looks like it would serve either purposely excellently well :)
