look the part from a distance but up close for legal reasons it had to an obvious fake/replica

Drum magazine is a cut down coffee tin ,i did have some 18mm projector film canisters originally but they as rare as the mags !
all put together with CKD twist snap fittings .
1/2 water galv steel pipe for barrel.eproxy glued into wood
the matt black paint over silver spray paint is steel wool polished to effect brushed steel finish , the wood is Oak /Rimu or mahogany.
a total of five made for the drama society then 5 more for customers for Weddings and engagement parties

A carry case was made up from thin ply ,in the shape of a violin case.

Great work Kev

I want to see a pose with the Willys Jeep please as I see two spare photo spots!

Now a days if you even as much as thought about making something like that in QLD you would be arrested!

Many a time I have wanted to build a replica 50 cal and mount it on my ute just to keep crazy drivers away!!

Keep up the good work!

Looks great and very authentic. However, may I suggest you paint the end of the barrel fluorescent orange so the authorities can’t mistake it for the real thing.
