This is my first post on Lumber Jocks.I have enjoyed viewing all of these great projects, and decided to share one of my own. This project was great fun for me, because it started on a sawmill. I made this bed from some plans I found online. I improvised the plans a bit to suit my own tastes, and I am really happy with the results. The plans had a cherry/maple combo, I used a cherry/ Walnut combo. I changed the suggested grain direction to make it go up and down. I thought the plans were really well done. Finishing the bed, I decided to clear coat with a semi-gloss laquer. I am planning on making end tables to match next.
Thanks for looking.
