Project Information

I know these are not high tec woodworking projects. But I've done a lot of furniture and had never gotten around to trying some basic band saw boxes. Found out they are very relaxing projects and people seem to love them.

There are two made of walnut. One is maple, purple heart, walnut, and birch. And one beech wood.

I have a "thing" for walnut these days. They are beautiful. What did you use for the finish?

Nicely designed, shaped, & finished… personally I like the wood pulls the best.

Thanks for the comments.

I admit that I had to be talked into the crystal pull, but found that the ladies went nuts over them…guys not so much.

I can't take credit for the shapes. I got them from a great BS Box book, 'Sculpted Band Saw Boxes' by Lois Keener Ventura. Fantastic book for design, inspiration and construction of BS boxes. Especially recommend for anyone thinking about getting started in BS boxes.

I do agree the books but Lois Ventura are very helpful and has great patterns that I have used or tweaked.

Can't argue with that. Mars and Venus, I guess.
