Hi LJ’s!

I have not posted projects for many moons so thought to post some recent wood burl rings.
Buckeye, Afzelia, Amboyna and California Buckeye

I love the dramatic randomness of burl…so says I, the randomly dramatic girl. :)

Those look great, Shannon. The one on the bottom right is spectacular!

Those are just gorgeous rings, Shannon!!
My favorite is the red one #3.
I just got some burl for the first time and I may try a ring or bracelet out of a piece. I too love the wild grain patterns inside the burl!!

Beautifully executed! I have been wanting to work with buckeye burl and some other soft woods for my cane handles, but I’ve yet to get into stabilizing wood. A vacuum system is my next investment.

Dramatic randomness. I like it. Sounds like a natural law.
Your rings are spectacular. I always enjoy looking at them. You have a nice mix of art and craft, creativity and talent.
Thanks for the pretty pictures. :-)

They are beautiful Shannon, personally, I like the Amboyna best. But that’s just me.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Shannon,

These all look fantastic!

I am still LOVING my wedding ring “upgrade” I received from my wife for our 15th anniversary – One of your bentwood rings using Ebony and a guitar string.

I stare at it all the time and am complimented on it at least once a week.

Keep up the great work.

Good to see you posting again, Shannon. Beauties all! I really like the grain in the first and third, and the colors in the second and fourth! Thanks for sharing and don’t be such a stranger!
