This was my solution to having a formal room but being able to watch TV when your alone.
The desk fits in nicely with all of the formal cherry furniture, but if you lift the drawer front as a unit and slide it in above the TV, you have the best of both worlds ! The woods are cherry for the frames and figured mahagony for the panels. This fools a lot of people and it is dog approved !!

That is one beautiful piece of furniture with a fantastic design feature. Outstanding!!
Did you design from scratch or have some sort of plan to follow & modify as desired? And that finish, really beautiful. I would like to have seen some progress photos, showing your methods of work.
Thanks for sharing ….

The best of both worlds. Outstanding piece of furniture.

Nice looking piece. Deserves more recognition. I think it was photobombed by your dog…

This is a beautiful piece of furniture with a great design feature. Outstanding!! Most people even many woodworkers do not understand the craftsmanship it takes to build such a refined piece like this. A lot of detail works in those legs and moldings that are not found in the run of the mill pieces, Congrats.
