I get asked to do these fairly often.
Someone has an old dresser that they don’t want and someone else looks at it and see’s a bathroom vanity.
This one ironically had a big hole rotted through the center of the top from being in a barn. It was a natural candidate for this job!
The trick here is to compartmentalize the drawers so that they can still be used but make room for the sink bowl and necessary plumbing parts. Some times I have to remove the feet also to lower the counter top height.
The sink bowls are held in place with a liberal amount of silicone caulk. They can be fun and they can be a pain because old wood has a lot of secrets hiding in it.. The customers seem to love them when they are done.. That’s what counts.
