So, I’m constantly in need of organization, not only in life, but especially in the truck. This was my Sunday project, this past and wonderful weather(ed) weekend, made only with my Ryobi cordless circular saw & 2 cordless drills, um, plus screws.
1/2” MDF 24×36” with 14” underneath to fit my work bags and other various things needed. Also, not shown, there is a support going across the middle side to side underneath. Throw in 1 1/2 – 2×4’s & a few scrap pieces of 2” wide pine I had in the back of the truck.
The purpose as stated above was to provide a shelf in the back of the Trailblazer to carry and store my things, but also to have a portable workbench that I could clamp onto my 2 stools that I carry to jobs. I MAY, put a few bolts with wing nuts to attach them better though.
Oh yeah, a small tarp underneath, so I don’t have to keep vacuuming the sawdust and bits out.

I feel your pain on the organization thing… I spent the weekend cleaning up and trying to organize my basement workshop. I need to put together a couple of shop projects to help things along.
best of luck keeping that truck organized!

I just love seeing this kind of stuff. Everyone needs little projects/organizers like that. Nice work.
