very nice, im mid stroke building a box for my wife and stuck on what to do with the base, you have just solved this problem for me

Very nice box, I like the base, the splines and the contrasts with the woods, the only thing I would change is the handle, into a shape with crisp edges to match the rest of the box, however just a little point.
