teak veneer tie

Hello all I thought I would try of make a tie from some teak veneer and this is what came out, what do you think?? The knot is made from a laminate of veneer cross grained for strength. Cheers dunk

Real nice. I saw some wood bow ties a few weeks ago, and they looked terrible. This looks very promising though. Just have to find the right kind of outfit to wear it with :)

Great job! you even made the tail in back – great attention to detail. And with obvious pun intended -what do you call that style of knot?

I wear ties every day for work and it would be fun to show up in something like this just to see the reactions.

Thanks for the comments there really quite easy to make you should all give it a go and post them to me. I will try and put a pic of me wearing it in next couple of days. Cheers . A bow tie is next I think
