Clothes Hooks

These are couple clothes hooks I made for the late LJ Dingle’s grandsons, Cody and Rylee. I was always going to make Rylee a sign for his room like Wiley Coyote who was always after the Road Runner. Then I worked with these two cleaning up trees at Mary Lou’s after the big storm so I decided to make them both clothes hooks/ signs for their rooms.

I had the words and animals just burned into the oak and did not have a real shape in mind. I thought something with wings might be nice. I drew up a half of this shape on a piece of cardboard and then flipped it on the other side so it would be exactly symmetrical. Pop and beer cartons make great template material!!

They are 6” x 20” red oak and finished with clear satin spray lacquer.

Cheers, Jim

Great designs.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
