This Candlestick stands a little over 6 inches tall, and the Base is 3 inches in diameter.
The Laburnum was given to me back in January by a friend who cuts trees. The log had quite a few splits in it so I cut it into spindles, sealed the ends, and left it to continue drying. The base I glued up using Titebond original, and the Brass wire is glued in with CA. The whole project is finished with 3 coats of Cellulose sanding sealer & 2 coats o Woodwax 22.

Yes, I think the Brass accent really makes the project.
Great Job and thanks for showing.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Thanks for the kind comments folks! I really must try getting some more Laburnum, it turns really nicely & has some great figure & colour within it.
