Project Information

I have made several of these over the years just for the fun of it.
This one is for a friend of mine that owns the Techno CNC machine company !
It is made from 1/4" plywood bolts and 3/4" copper pipe and 3/4" MDF for the gears with nylon bearings.
I painted it and stuck in some bolts to make it look more complicated.
You hang it on the wall and when you get stressed out, you stick a finger in a gear hole and spin the chain.
In a few revolutions, you forget all about what was bothering you.
Of course, if you stick a finger in the chain, you will have a whole new thing to worry about.
The black, white and red are all Formica brand laminate inlayed into each other.
Fun project!

That is so cool. Something else to add to the "to do list".

So how large are the parts? The links must be about 2" to 2-1/2" long?

Cool project. Might have to do one of these…

I really like no nonse contraptions. This one is sweet.

I made a bunch of the ellipse jigs and kept one at work so that every time my manager walked in he would pick it up and crank it while talking to me.
He was the only one that did not know that I called it the bullsh_t grinder.
