This is the first of three small assignments this semestre, which concentrates on extracting form and developing an idea.
The shape comes from a fiddle that I sort of turned “inside-out”.

It’s made with bend laminated Pine, plugged, screwed and glued together. I wish I could say I mortised it, but for this prototype and the time that remained for fabrication that was not an option.

It’s painted and toned with Burnt Umbra and Burnt Sienna in diluted PU-varnish, the same varnish is used undiluted as sealer and topcoat.
