We were visiting yesterday, & our Granddaughter hauled out some of her things.
I had made this one for her when she was 6 years old in 1995.
She is now a 20 year old young lady going to college.
This carving was made from her own drawing that she drew for me,
so I did a small relief carving of it, for her.

I got this email from her, & I’d like to share it with you.
Hi!
I saw my drawing/grandpa’s carving on lumberjocks… looks pretty good! You will have to tell all your online buddies hi from me (I mean Fort Knox!) and thank them for the nice comments. I do treasure those carvings Grandpa gave me. I have to get back to studying, so I’ll talk to you later.
Lots of love… Steph

Isn’t it great to run across something like this and bring bqck all the wonderful memories that are associated with making it?

She guards everything like it was Fort Knox.
I Have some more things to show, but I don’t want to dump too much all at once.

That is awesome Dick. It brought tears to my eyes as I have a very treasured gift that my father and I did together in ‘75. 33 years ago and to this day it still looks the same. I will post picks for ya by the weekend.
Always treasure family
