I have cherry entertainment center in my living room, and my old black coffee table didn’t match. So I decided to build a replacement.

This is shaker-inspired tall cherry coffee table with hidden shelf underneath – to tuck away keyboard for my media center PC when not used.

This is my first piece of furniture built from scratch, so I made it simple. I used loose tenon joinery, no drawer. Finish: sprayed shellac and rubbed-on poly.
