I didn’t have any archery equipment when I returned to hunting last year, so I made my own. The bow is a red oak board bow, pulling 50# @ 28”. The arrows are cedar. The feathered arrows were actual huntng arrows; the arrows with plastic vanes are target arrows. The quiver is made of synthetic leather.

Very cool. Another project on my list. Nice job, looks good. Must be fun to use knowing you crafted all components.

Very nice bow and arrow set. Like mtnwild said it’s great to be able to make something that we wish we had as a kid. That we either could’nt afford or could make. Nice job.

I made one several years ago from Hickory, and spent literally hours “tillering” the limbs to the proper thickness, draw weight, and arc. The second time I used it, one of the limbs took a “set.” Sigh. It was fun to do, but yours looks a lot nicer! Well done!

Pulls smooth, shoots straight. If I could only aim straight, I’d be better off!
