This is one of several I have been working on the last few days. This is 18×5 3/4×4”.the back and top is made with Sapele, the insert is Padauk and the medallion thingy is walnut.
The finish is lacquer…Thanks

I’m going to go with Doc and wonder exactly what is so simple about that shelf. I couldn’t pull off something that beautiful if I tried. I’d like to see something you think is hard! This one is another beauty.

Thanks guys…these wall shelves are fast and easy to do after so many years of woodworking. Not as challenging as sculpting…but fun. I plan to do some more that are sculpted…just gotta decide on the design.
