Own design of a colonial bench, built with just pegs and glue, used 41 pegs. Bench is built with imperfections that I allow during construction, then I add many more, some surface areas are left rough, but most are sanded down to a fine state.

Bench size is about 29 1/2 long, a little over 11 wide, and abut 19 1/2 high,

I used Watco Danish Oil, medium walnut per can instructions and was not pleased with it, seemed too dull, so posted a question for advice and received much.

The advice I took was to stay with the Danish Oil and apply additional coats with fine sanding between. I then just added a light coat of wax and buffed it.

The effect I wanted is for it to already appear old, sort of got that after a few attempts.

The swing in the background was an earlier 50th Anniversary project for my wife, red oak, and used a spar varnish for protection.

Well Doug, I think it looks good. I like the look of the wide walnut piece with sapwood. You don’t need online storage to post a picture in a thread. See where it says img just above the text box. Click that and you can choose pictures from your computer or other device.
