If you can build one, you may as well build three, especially with Xmas fast approaching. Birds eye maple, rose wood with african blackwood trim.
With each box you get to refine your techniques and your tools, it always a learning experience…

Awesome boxes,how are the initials done on the velvet?what method do you use for making the bottom of you box?

The monogram letters are done with an embroidery machine. I think they add a nice personalized touch and worth the effort.
The base is a double curve ogee trim, just wide enough to cover the bottom edge of the Baltic birch box.

Wow, Very nice, these type of boxes are my favorite type to make. Very, Very Nice.
