Reclaimed Beam Bench

This was a simple bench made from some scraps of reclaimed wood I had left over in my shop. We are using it as a coffee table right now , but it would be great for an entry hallway or mudroom for shoe storage and to sit on. The finish is oil-based satin minwax poly.

Looks great! Would love to know where the reclaimed lumber came from. Just neat to learn the story behind stuff like that. Thanks for sharing!

I saw an ad on Craigslist for a guy who wanted to keep lumber out of his dumpster during a reno (i.e. FREE) – it was a 100+ old rowhouse in Philadelphia – sketchy neighborhood in the middle of July – I filled my Tacoma as much as I could and I have been resawing the beams and making stuff for over a year now and still have some left over
