Two rings I made yesterday. On the left is maple and padauk. On the right is maple and purpleheart. Laminated the woods together then drilled the hole out with a forstner bit. Cut it out rough on the bandsaw then to the disc sander. They seem to be pretty durable. As I was finishing up the sanding on the benchtop belt sander is flew out of my hand and bounced around the shop. Came out of it unscathed, me and the ring. Finished it with wipe on poly.

Glad to hear no harm done in the making. They are very nice rings! I’ve never made anything like that and they are really nice? Any difficulty when roughing them out on th bandsaw?

Not too difficult with the bandsaw. It only took them about 10 minutes each.
