I had this idea not to long ago, that I could make some durable foot stools for my kids, nieces and nephews out of a basic 2×12. Figured out I could get 6 of them out of a single 10 foot board. So, one 2×12x8, and one 2×12x10 later, I had two failed stools that succeed in teaching me, plus one complete stool, one waiting for finish, one I decided to use as a shop foot stool, and 7 more waiting for assembly. Figure I can finish them this winter and have Christmas gifts.
Bread board ends to strengthen the seat, mortise and tenon to join the legs.
