oak/hickory platter

This is a piece of slab oak that I found on a discard pile at a rural mill. The legs are some hickory branches I fashioned for the legs. Hardest part was smoothing the top. Level all the way around and finished with Danish oil and wax. Measures 16” x 10” and sets 2 1/2” high. Thanks for the looks and comments

That looks great and you did one super job making it ,the first thing that came to mind was turtle .

Great platter – could also be used as a stand for bonsai tree pots. This goes into my favorites.
