Fish Bowl

Project by Wingstress posted 385 days ago 276 views 2 times favorited 4 comments Add to Favorites Watch

This was a band saw bowl made from Australian Lace wood. My daughter said the wood looked like fish scales. That was the only inspiration I needed. The split went right down the center in the mouth and out the tail which actually made the design more symmetrical. The eye was just a left over walnut plug. Its finished with shellac. This was a fun one to make.

That is unique to me. I like it.
Inspiration comes from different sources. Good idea.

Nice job Tom. That’s a cool design. I agree the split down the middle adds to the symmetry, especially in the tail.
