I saw it in a magazine and just had to build it. Oak base, walnut blade and spalted elm handle.

This turned out great, Jim! The spray lacquer really brought out the spalting in the elm. And he didn’t mention it, but the ‘book’ is also a box he made and covered with faux leather!
