We needed a stand for the TV and our primitive sound system and also storage for videos/DVDs/CDs/remote controls, etc. . We used Fiddleback Maple with Black Walnut and my husband designed a modern, timeless design that won’t go out of fashion. Most of the construction was done by my husband and I assisted with sanding, assembly and finishing. I did solve the handle designs as I like the Scandinavian style of modern furniture so I made them simple and functional. I think the Black Walnut helps tone down the busy grain of the Maple and helps highlight it too.

The drawers are wide and deep. They are full of movies and music and are quite heavy to close.

A very good addition to your projects. Which joint you have used for the drawers as they have to be pretty strong? The handle design is very cute.

Hi mmh;

Very nice solution to your storage and T.V. stand.

Beautiful woods and design details.

He used dove tailed joints for the drawers. They are quite solid.
