Contemporary style shoe rack made out of maple solids and maple veneered ply. Finished with an intermixed dye/stain and oil based poly (semi gloss). Buffed and polished with compounds a month after curing for a super fine finish.

That colour is stunning. Could you provide more detail on how you accomplished the mix…

The wood is actually just hard maple and I used an intermix solvent dye from chemcraft. Unfortunately I can’t provide much more info on the dye because I cant even find something like it on their website. I went everywhere trying to find some wood dye and not wood stain in my local area. I believe I found it at Rodda Paint. They had one can of it and it was pure black and I had them tint it to add more white because I was shooting for a gray tone.
Promatch C-Mix W/S is the only thing on the can.

Pretty cool… You going to try one of those isometric cutting boards too??? I think I have enough stock hanging around in my garage to give it a shot.

I am actually going to try out an 8 Bit inspired cutting board, maybe something like this.

Have your say...
