first attempt at making wooden plane

Here’s a wooden block plane that I just finished walnut and, hard maple, the mallet is maple and ironwood the plane has ironwood striking points on the back of the plane and the maple wedge.

Thanks for the comments, CFrye the blade is an old Stanely 9 1/2 I got from E-Bay once I clean it up and, sharpened it, it cuts real good.
