I’m captivated by Greene and Greene style. I can’t help myself. So why not incorporate Greene and Greene influence into my Patio cover, can’t hurt. I thought the Scarf Joint was enough of that for an outdoor project. I’m pretty happy with the results. The posts are 8” x 8”, the rafters are 4”x12” and the joists are 4”x8”, all Doug Fir treated with Tall Earth Preservative that will be silver grey by next Fall

It’s natural cherry with a wipe on poly. I cut a bevel on both sides of the “field” and applied shop made moldings before I cut the miters. It was a Christmas gift for my brother to frame a family painting
