Walnut and Maple jewelry box for a gift. The exposed “two wood” box joints are a new experiment for me and I think they add a new element to the look of the rather simple form of this box. The diamond inlay is bloodwood. The tray for the box is maple and the top and bottom dividers are walnut. The box is lined with black felt. The finish is semi gloss lacquer.

Something fun to make, but more fun to give as a gift.

Very nice I like the double box joint. Looks good with the contrasting woods.

Very nicely finished, the two-tone box joint adds distinction.

wonderful box. I really like the two wood box joint. I’ve never seen that before. It is certainly a successful experiment.
