It’s amazing how far a nice piece of Walnut Burl will go. Rather than use imported cheap hardware, I installed 1/8” brass brazing rod hardware. Works great set in two part epoxy. Sanded and sealed with a base coat of shellac and a couple of top coats of Polyurethane.

Love the brazing rod hardware solution. Have you had good luck with it holding up to long time usage?

I have been wearing a walnut buckle now everyday for over a year and it seems to be as good as the day I put it on. So, I guess the brass rod and the epoxy holding it are doing just fine.
