I had bought a large block of wet myrtle wood in Portland over a year ago. It had been drying in the shop for the year but even then, it was still a bit wet when I turned the initial shape. I let it dry another 2 months and finished it to final shape.

This is a beautiful turning and beautiful wood also.

Nice job! I bought some myrtlewood in Oregon 2 years ago when I visited and turned a few pens. It only grows there and in the Holy Land.
