"Tool Holder" For My Wife

Obviously my wife has been paying more attention than I thought. She asked me to build her a rack to hold her hair dryer and curling iron. Since she has already laid claim to 9/10 th’s of the vanity space in our bathroom, I decided to give it a go (or move upstairs and share a bathroom with my son…lol). This is what I came up with. Red oak and finished with Danish Oil. She seems to like it enough to decide that our towel rack doesn’t match and that I needed to build one to match…lol Cool thing about this project was I got to use lots of different tools so it makes it easier when I argue with her that I need more of them!!!

Marty- thank you my friend. You know that list grows faster than I can keep up. Still need to paint the chase lounge, build a towel rack and just picked up the walnut for a new TV stand….

Joe- Thank you buddy. Leave it to you to go “there”!!!! Lol

Another fine job by BusterB! Does this buy you back some vanity space, or is this just bonus space for her? It’s been my experience that you will never get ahead where a wife is concerned. Looking forward to seeing the towel rack, and the stand. Keep beating on that list buddy, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

That will def help keep the wife happy. If Mama aint happy, then aint nobody happy. Good excuse to buy more tools. We all need all the help we can get in that department. Great job buddy.

Buster you sure must have a big jar for all
your “Brownie Points”
Great idea.
However, best way to stop the land grab on the
vanity unit is not to have one
String is the thing. Along with 6” nails
You see where this is going Buster Buddy?
You can hang wood magazines toilet roll and your toilet
bag all using the matching string nail theme
Now look how much space you have.
Potentially a finishing shop. :)
I wish you luck in selling it to Mrs Buster
Let me know how you get on with it ?

Jeff- Thank you buddy. I drug the lathe out earlier and turned the rod part of the rack out of a piece of scrap oak. One of these days I gotta get someone to show me how to actually use it….lol

Hoss- Thank you sir. Wise words indeed. She is pretty good about not asking too many questions as long as I collect slowly.

Jamie- Thank you guru… The string is what we are using now…lol its tough keeping the corn cobs hung though.

That is a good idea. Nice work Buster. This is something that I should definitely make for my wife just to keep it off the counter.

Nicely done Buster! Red oak looks good with the Danish oil. Maybe I need to stop making a To Do List for myself and start one for the hubby?! Thanks for sharing.

Yep when the Boss is Happy all is good. Now just make sure to explain how much Faster you could have made this And Other Items for Her if you just had those other 2 or 3 Tools.

And somehow I don’t think Jamie has been Married.

Have your say...
