Girlfriend wanted this motif to hang on the outside of her deck. What’s a man to do? The wood is old west red cedar shutters salvaged from a dumpster.. (no pride when it comes to free lumber) The stars and accents are solar pyrography. The straight rays are removable, used brass fasteners because its outside and assembled its too awkward/fragile. Another coat… maybe two.. and hang it I’m done.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Bob, thanks, been outa the shop a while getting a new hip and rehabilitating. Went and checked out yer stuff and am impressed and so jealous of your supply of beautiful wood. I’m a turner at heart myself, spherical boxes… yeah, I invented them, thanks again, matt
