I used Keith Fenton’s pattern for this project. I like to give myself a challenge when putting projects together so instead of attaching the base with screws I decided to set the front and back panels into the base. The front and back panels are cut from mahogany with a veneer attached – not sure what the veneer is. It came from a bunch of different veneers that I was given. The base is cut from yellow cedar and I burnt a decorative edge onto it.
Comments are always welcome. Thanks for looking.

Nicely done, Anna! The wood burning is a beautiful accent! Do you have a dinner party coming up? One with a hummingbird theme, maybe? Thanks for sharing.

This looks just awesome! That little bit of wood burning on the edge really accents the designs perfectly! What a wonderful idea! :)

Very nicely done, and I agree that the little bit of wood burning really accents to your piece.

A winner for the kitchen table for sure. I really like the burnt details you added. 1st class all the way. Gr8 choice of wood/veneer combos as well.

That’s an astounding little scroll saw work!
