I made this crib for my daughter who has now ourgrown it. The rails and side come off to convert it to a todler bed. I have given it to a friend to use for thier son. made from oak and oak ply, it was a fun project

Very nice, even though my girls are years away from having kids ( I mean at least I hope so). This may come in handy some day. Did you build it from plans or is it your own design?

Thanks for sharing the post.

I had a commercially-made version almost identical to this when my kids were younger. Nice job!

Thanks for the kind comments. I built this from plans I got from Woodcraft.com and modified it a little. It looks like they now have a different version, check it out. http://www.woodcraftplans.com/u936.htm

Good idea to think ahead and gain two lifetimes of use, its better than recycling

This is a great design for a crib. It has a lot of wonderful storage and is beautifully done. Nice work!
