Project Information

First the cause: Fellow LJ Don Broussard is active in the clean water industry (I'll let him post the links if he chooses to).....anyways, his organization will be raising money for the Water for People movement at an upcoming event in Tulsa on October 13 and 14.

I truly believe that if we can all help resolve water issues worldwide that it will have a trickle down effect (no pun intended…) on so many other critical issues….

So this board will be shipped down to Don so he can place into the silent auction fundraiser. I would think he would welcome other contributions as well. I should also mention, Don is one of the nicest folks you'll ever meet, I had the pleasure of meeting him and a bunch of of other great LJ's in Louisiana this spring…..

-----------------

The end grain cutting board is yet another from the cut-off bin. The diamond pattern was created by cut-offs from some tea-light candle holders I built and the thin walnut strips were leftovers for the piano board. It's built progressively and the design emerges as you go…....

Hard Maple and Walnut with mineral oil finish. Little feet and brass screws from Lee Valley.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice Jeff. And a very nice thing of you two to do. More power to ya.

But…. how the heck do you keep your clamps so shiny? They look like they are straight out of a commercial. Mine are all beat up and yucky and stuff.

Good job Sir,
Steve

Awesome Jeff. Based on how long my little end grain board took, something like that I would be ready to donate by next year, maybe. Jeff just got all those clamps at the great lowes bessey sell off of 2014.

Great Board Jeff. The cause is definitely worthy.

I love what you have done with the 4 sectional lines. They add a lot to the overall visual.

Jeff-Sorry for not having posted to thank you earlier. I really appreciate the free advertisement! Compliments on another fine board too.

The Water For People website is here, if anyone is interested in helping out with the event in Tulsa, or with other activities. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
