Here`s a set of cabinets I just finished. They are made of birch ply and solid birch facings and birch doors. They were stained with Sherwin Williams oil stain, Chestnut and four coats of satin lacquer. I did`t make the doors ordered for local cabinet shop. The doors have no pulls, just edge finger pulls and concealed hinges. It would take me a while to learn which way the open. I made the crown molding and the base board on my woodmaster planer / molder.
Had a hard time getting the stain on the birch ply to be the same color as the doors and the frames.

Very nice cabinets. The colour looks even. I like the crown moldings.
My questions : 1. How did you apply lacquer? (by hand/spray gun). 2. Did you sand in between layers of top coat?
Thanks

Woodworm, I used a cheep HVLP spray system I got from Harbor Freight . I did lightly sand with a fine grit sanding sponge between each coat,

Looks like you handled that perfectly.
