I have been turning for just over 3 months now, and thought it was about time I tried an Apple! The Apple itself is an some kind of Redwood (if anyone can shed more light on the exact type of Redwood this is, it would be much appriciated) and the stalk is from a piece of Mahogany that was in my “Scraps Bin”. The Redwood was “rescued” from a firey end by a friend, and it had previously been used as a “barer” for a shipment of lumber.

Mighty fine apple you have made. I haven’t given this one a try yet.

Now bake a pie and put some ice cream on it.

It looks like real. Nice job on that.

Thanks for the kind comments folks! I will probably be making a few more of these as people have been asking if I would sell it to them. I have quite a bit of wood the right size for making Apples, so guess what I’m making tomorrow….!! lol
